This exciting young Stallion has been selected by the LG team to provide a quality breeding opportunity for event horse breeders. He combines exceptional jump with beautiful loose movement and length of stride. Jackson has been chosen to cover TB type mares to provide the quality that is essential for the modern eventer. Jackson himself carries a good amount of blood from the Ladykiller line of Holstein. His Father is the world famous Numero Uno completed his performance test triumphantly: he received a 9.0 for canter and scored an average of 8.5 for jumping components. His explosive take-off earned him 9.0 points. Dam Jolanda, like the Olympic showjumping stallion Lux, descends from
Lord Calando. Grand dam Feinschnit (Ahorn hann) supplied, in combination with Gondelier, the national showjumping horse Kapitol, who as a five-year-old gave an excellent performance in the world championships for young horses at Lanaken. The mother line continues via the well known stallion Farnese to the mare Fernsicht (Ladykiller xx), who is a full sister to the reputable stallion Lorenz. This famous Holstein lineage, which is registered under number 429, also produced the stallions Aldato (Anblick xx), Heidelberg (Ladykiller xx) and Benedictus (Benvenuto xx).

After a successful show jumping career with European Champion Marco Kutscher, Numero Uno today has turned out to be one of the leading sires in the world. Numero Uno, father to six approved KWPN stallions, is sire to many champions in international show jumping, ability tests and stallion approvals.

Jacksons Dam Is awarded Kuer status with the KWPN and his Dam Sire Royal Bravour is Ramiro’s second best showjumping progeny after the great Olympic Gold Medalist Ratina Z. Under Peter Geerink, Royal Bravour won the World Cup qualifiers in Amsterdam and Oslo, the Mechelen Nations Cup, and the Aarhus Grand Prix. He placed 2nd in the Münster Grand Prix, 3rd in the Berlin Grand Prix and Oslo Grand Prix, 4th in the Amsterdam World Cup Qualifier, and 6th in the World Cup Final at Göteborg. In 1997 he won three Volvos and in 1998 he was
ranked the 3rd best showjumper in the world. Royal Bravour was approved by the KWPN after being retired from competition. His eldest progeny have begun competing and much is expected of them. His first approved son is the NRPS-approved sire Royal Highness (dam-sire Lauriston).

RAMIRO, the sire of Royal Bravour, is one of the world’s greatest sires of showjumpers. His most famous progeny besides Royal Bravour and Ratina Z include Royal Kaliber, winner of the Individual Silver and Team Gold medals at the 2005 Olympics.

URSULA, the dam of Royal Bravour, a Ster Preferent Prestatie mare, produced five international showjumpers: Royal Bravour, Damiro L, Elmiro, Olympic Bandit, and Ester V. She also produced the mare Jolly Lady, dam of the 3rd ring stallion Surprise.

ORTHOS, the sire of Ursula, sired the Nations Cup and international Grand Prix showjumpers Derrek, Arthus, Exito, Igor XVI, Manhattan, Orthos, Uptons Mill, and Sure Thing.

Orthos is also the damsire of the important KWPN-approved sire Cavalier, who enjoyed a very successful career in international sport under Franke Sloothaak.

Grand Design’s pedigree combines the best bloodlines from 2 of the most important German pony breeding areas, Rhineland & Weser-Ems and offers the UK and EU breeder an unrivalled opportunity to acquire bloodlines from two hugely successful ponies.

Sire: FS Golden Moonlight, a stunning 143cm (14hh) son of Golden Dancer, was champion of his licensing in ‘94, Vice Bundeschampion in ‘97 & had 15 successive victories in dressage. In his first 3 years of covering, he produced 10 State Premium mares & 8 licensed sons, inc FS Golden Highlight. He is renowned for passing on his rideability and suitability for children’s ponies. His full sister, FS Golden Sunlight, is the dam of the famous FS Don’t Worry.

Dam: Famous in Weser-Ems, Elite State Premium Sira was reserve champion at the Federal Mare Show in Germany in 1996. She is the dam of many outstanding sports ponies (most of whom are by different stallions) including the stallion Daimler & the mare Shanyah. Her daughter Syrah, dam of Hilkens Black Delight, was Weser- Ems champion mare & won the Federal Mare Show. Her daughter Shakyrah, dam of premium licensed stallion Hilken’s Charismatic, was also a champion mare. Sira’s son, Principal is successful in FEI sport and a team GB member, she also has another son, Visconti, representing her in FEI sport. She has had three children represent her at the Bundeschampionate in three different disciplines – Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing, proving her ability to produce stars in any competitive sphere. Her daughter Sophie, won her mare performance test, was champion mare & came 4th in the Bundeschampionate. Sira’s grandchildren
are proving to be very successful in sport, and of course include licensing Champion Hilken’s Black Delight, and Premium stallion Hilken’s Charismatic. Arguably, Sira has to be one of the most successful pony mares in breeding history.

Damsire: Black Boy is the result of crossing a horse with a Welsh B. He was champion stallion in 1986 & reserve champion of his performance test. He has 18 licensed sons, several champion daughters and in one year at the Bundeschampionate had the most offspring of any stallion.

Grand Design is a super young stallion with a wonderful, easy temperament. He was presented in Hannover, Germany, in November 2010 as a 2 year old, where he was licensed by the Commission. He received an ovation from the crowd for his trot and was one of the smallest riding ponies licensed in Germany that year, at only 138cms. He enjoys his work and has a willing approach to learning new movements. He was
backed in Germany post licensing and ridden for a short period. He returned to the UK the following Spring and was given time off to grow in stature and mature physically. Having been re-started he is now proving his character and fun side. He is being carefully produced for FEI level and his basics are well established. He is extremely well behaved, living alongside other stallions and geldings with no problems, enjoys plenty of time in the field, and when he was resident at Stallion AI for collection was praised by the staff for his outstanding and impeccable behaviour both in the stable and in the covering barn.

Grand Design has three great gaits, a very expressive trot with good knee action. His canter is wonderful and his walk ground-covering. He has wonderful conformation and is short coupled with a lovely set and shape of neck, which maintains its shape when ridden. He has good bone and excellent leg conformation. He would offer improvement to a range of mares, and at only 14hh would be especially valuable in creating ponies from horse mares. He is a friendly and likeable character, is easy to handle and care for and is a great favourite on the yard with all the staff and other horses and ponies.

FAN VAN HET PRINSENBOS is an exciting young stallion with an enviable pedigree.

FAN VAN HET PRINSENBOS is an exciting young stallion with an enviable pedigree.

He is by the great Actionbreaker who has performed at the highest level for Spain with Segio Alvarez Moya. Actionbreaker has Grand Prix placings to his credit at numerous 5* shows including Dublin, Hickstead, Montecarlo, Geneva to name few with a 3rd in the Aachen Grand Prix and consistent performances at Nations Cup and World Cup level. He also jumped at the Kentucky World Equestrian Games and is now proving himself as a sire of International jumpers.

Actionbreaker carries the legendary lines of his sire Heartbreaker and in his motherline we see the great Lys de Darmen via his damsire. Great-grandfather “Porche de Borrival” is a product of the proven ‘golden mix’ Lugano van la Roche x Flugel van la Roche.
Heartbreaker, sired by the world famous ‘preferent’ stallion Nimmerdor, leads the Dutch jumping index with a staggering score of 168 points

The damline of Fan van het Prinsenbos is equally impressive, his dam herself a Grade A showjumper by the Atlanta Double Olympic Gold Medallist Jus de Pomme. She has produced several Grand Prix showjumpers including the gelding ‘Certainly’ van het Prinsenbos’ now competing in the USA. Jus de Pomme himself left a legacy despite his untimely death at 10 years old via a small crop of foals including Ode de Pomme who took home a team bronze from the Jerez World Equestrian Games with Belgian rider Stanny van Paeschen. Another Jus de Pomme son, Harry Potter has been successful with the American rider, Peter Wylde as has the mare Octavia with Swiss rider Werner Muff. In his short stud career Jus de Pomme produced 8 graded sons including the BWP stallion Jumpy des Fontaines who achieved many Grand Prix success with Dutch rider Harry Smolders before competing at the Beijing Olympic Games for China.

Fan van het Prinsenbos or ‘Boss’ as he is known is an exciting young stallion with excellent conformation and a temperament second to none.He is ridden and handled at all times by a lightweight female rider.

Boss has the scope and power of his sire with a classic technique. He has jumped countless double clears this winter with 18 double clears at newcomer and foxhunter level, and has now moved upto 1.30m level with ease. He will be stepped upto 1.40m level by the end of the year and aimed at some International shows in the Autumn. For videos of Boss competing please see the Elite Sport Horses website,www.elitesporthorses.net.

His eldest progeny are now 4 years old and beginning their careers and show the same temperament and ability as their sire. They are now beginning to make their mark in British showjumping competitions. Boss is a versatile stallion who throws excellent conformation and temperament and would be equally suited to breeding a future dressage or working hunter prospect.

Anyone wishing to view Fan van het Prinsenbos further is welcome to make an appointment to visit him at his yard in Bronington, Whithurch

Sam R is the only stallion ever to score the perfect 10 in his KWPN grading.

Sam R, the “Thoroughbred” among the jumper stallions, is a son of the excellent sire Mermus R. Sam R’s dam is the well-known mare Amelusina (Abgar xx x Wagner). Amelusina is also the granddam of Namelus R and the international jumper Idalco (s.Ladalco), and the great-granddam of the Olympic jumper Lamalushi (s.Calando I). Progeny out of the renowned Melusiena line include the international horses Hay Guy, Matcho KB, Velusinus R, Jade, and Esperite. In 2002, Sam R finished fourth in the KWPN Stallion Selection championships. He completed his 70-day test in Ermelo with great success. The following are comments from his performance test report: “As a jumper, Sam R takes off with lots of power. He is very quick off the ground, as he rocks back on his hind end. He jumps with nice leg technique, good use of his back, and opens up his hind legs very well. Sam R is very careful over jumps and has a great deal of scope. He shows abundant talent as a jumper and gives his rider a very nice feeling.” The scores speak for themselves: Take off: 10, Scope: 9.5, Technique: 9, and Jumping talent: 9.5 A good horse can also be beautiful. Sam R is proof of this. The big, very noble stallion that expresses abundant blood breeds like the best Thoroughbred sire. Sam R offspring are noble, long-legged, long-lined, and show lots of blood. They have a good trot and a very good canter. The oldest offspring are now under saddle. They are very easy to ride, and they jump nicely with excellent take-off. Even as foals, these offspring demonstrate very nice technique and outstanding power off the ground in free-jumping. The electric jumper W. Adermie (Sam R x Zeus x Joost) placed fourth in the quality assessments for four-year-old jumpers at CSI Twente. One of the most striking six year old show jumpers of the Dutch circuit is Wembley R (Sam R x Lucky Light). Three and a half year old Athene (Sam R x Fedor) was placed fourth in the final of the Dutch national VSN Trophy. In the meantime, the KWPN has approved the first Sam R son. He is Zahros R, the first and only approved son among the S-year jumper stallions. In the Dutch competition for approved stallions, last winter, scopy Zahros R made a huge impression with his impeccable technique and carefulness
