In addition to the magic mix of Cornet Obolensky and Ramiro Z, Cobra 18 also benefits from the essential thoroughbred blood of Usurpator xx, making him 49% thoroughbred – a winning combination in modern day sport horse breeding. Cobra 18 has all the attributes of a world-class sire: superb genetics, proven performance to a top-level & exceptional fertility. By the legendary Cornet Obolensky, Cobra 18 is out of a black type mare by Ramiro Z & is a modern performance stallion with all the blood & quality needed to produce commercial foals. Cobra 18 also benefits from the essential thoroughbred blood of Usurpator xx, making him 49% thoroughbred – a winning combination in modern day sport horses. Cobra 18 covered a limited number of mares as a 4yo, before concentrating on his own show jumping career, during which he jumped to international 1.50 level until a career ending injury in 2014 forced his retirement to stud. Cobra 18 is extremely well related, & while his sire is undoubtedly one of the best sires of show jumpers the world has ever known, his dam line is also a proven producer of top-class horsesincluding Miss Fritz (1.55m), Cornet’s Gold (1.60m) &Phoenix L (CCI*** eventing).
