HANDELS CLASSIC

Handels Classic was bred in the UK, in 2006, by Vikki Evans, of Classic Showjumpers. He has a top class pedigree that combines the performance of Handel II, a horse who many will remember enjoyed much success with Michael Whitaker, with the phenomenal heritage of the legendary Don Carlos.

Handels Classic performed outstandingly at the 2009 BEF Futurity where he was the highest scoring 3yo across all disciplines for that year and was awarded Elite Premium in the showjumping category for type, temperament and jumping ability. The judges described him as “everything you look for in a jumper “. In acknowledgment of this exceptional achievement, Vikki received an award at the British Breeders Awards in London.

Adrian Evans started and produced him before basing him with Dale Burnham in September 2011. Already the partnership have enjoyed some outstanding successes including winning the 6yo Grand Prix in Villeneuve, Southern France as well as many other impressive placing whilst visiting Vidauban and Hardelot. Handels Classic has recently qualified at his first attempt, for the 6yos at Scope, by jumping a triple clear round at Weston Lawns.

Handels Classic is a modern, expressive stallion, with light, elaborate movement and an intelligent temperament that combine in making him a very trainable athlete. His jump shows great care, athleticism and scope. All who meet him comment on his outstanding nature and natural charisma.
