Biography

Bon Coeur is one of the most influential modern dressage stallions of the Hanoverian studbook, combining exceptional movement with an elite pedigree. Born in 2012 and bred by Birgit Tietjen in Germany, he is by the Grand Prix stallion Benetton Dream FRH and out of the Sandro Hit daughter Sonnenschein, creating a powerful genetic combination of Brentano II, Sandro Hit, and Rubinstein-line blood. This pedigree has produced a stallion known for expressive gaits, elasticity and outstanding rideability. Bon Coeur first rose to prominence when he was named Premium Stallion at the Hanoverian licensing in Verden and later won his 30-day stallion performance test with an exceptional score of 9.1. He quickly became one of the most celebrated young dressage horses of his generation, achieving the title Hanoverian Champion and twice finishing as Vice-Bundeschampion at the German Bundeschampionate. Alongside his own sport career up to Intermediaire I level, he has developed a reputation as an elite sire producing numerous licensed stallions and highly successful young dressage horses.
