Biography

Bonds in Gold was the standout star of the 2025 DSP Stallion Days in Munich-Riem, crowned the event’s champion stallion. In high demand at the following auction, he went on to sell for a top price to Gestüt Pramwaldhof in Austria. A modern, eye-catching stallion with a striking dark bay coat and real presence, he combines an excellent type with exciting quality in his basic gaits—something he underlined at the 2025 Short Performance Test in Verden with Sina Aringer. There he achieved an overall score of 8.43, ranking among the leading horses and earning an outstanding 9.0 for willingness to perform. His sire launched his career as an Oldenburg champion stallion before winning both sport tests with exceptional results and developing into a prolific winner in dressage horse classes, later achieving advanced-level success under Beatrice Hoffrogge. He has sired more than 25 licensed sons, alongside a long list of successful sport horses, including the internationally placed Small Tour stallion Bourbon Dream K, champions Barbor BS and Barnsley, reserve champion Boccaccio, and further standouts such as Best Secret OLD and Bonds in Black OLD. Many of his offspring have also topped auctions and impressed in the show ring. On the dam line, the maternal grandsire Goldberg was reserve champion of the 2013 Westphalian licensing and has competed successfully through Prix St. Georges, while also producing multiple approved sons and S-level performers. The granddam Prime Time has proven herself as an exceptional producer, with three licensed sons including Don Royal and Bloomingdale, and further sport success in the family through Pamela (Totilas), successful to Inter I. Rubin Royal adds further depth to the pedigree as an Oldenburg main premium stallion and international Grand Prix winner who held a leading position in the WBFSH dressage rankings for years. The family continues through the great-granddam Primadonna, producer of licensed stallions and multiple sport horses up to Grand Prix, including the licensing champion Caprigold. Bonds in Gold descends from the renowned Neustadt P-line (Bremen dam line 47/Pauline von Dargardt), responsible for more than 70 licensed stallions to date—among them Belantis I and II, Quadroneur I and II, Santo Domingo I and II, and many others. The line’s most famous representative is the legendary Poetin I, Bundeschampion and World Champion of Young Dressage Horses under Kathrin Meyer zu Strohen.
