Biography

Brantzau is a Selle Français stallion born in 2011, combining the blood of two Olympic showjumping legends. He is by Baloubet du Rouet and out of Thorradina JPC, a daughter of Carthago Z, creating a pedigree rich in international performance genetics. He originates from the famous Holsteiner damline 104A, one of the most successful showjumping families that traces back to the legendary mare Retina, winner of the German Showjumping Derby. Brantzau achieved success in young horse competitions with scores up to 9.3 and later competed in 1.40–1.45 m classes, demonstrating excellent scope, a powerful hind leg and an athletic canter—qualities he consistently passes on to his offspring.

Notable Progeny

Brash KL – winner of the 7-year-old class in Dinard. Balbina N – winner of young horse competitions in Riesenbeck and Ehlsdorf. Imany de Will – winner of young horse classes in Villers Vicomte. Brilliant 59 – two-time winner of international young horse classes in Oliva
