Biography

It is with great pleasure that we present Candy Cumano, an exceptional young stallion from the successful show jumping line of Candy de Nantuel, who made a striking impression at his licensing and was immediately awarded Premium Stallion status in recognition of his outstanding Quality. Already at the pre-selection, Candy Cumano impressed with his modern, powerful conformation and strong presence. Over the fences, he demonstrated an outstanding combination of scope, reflexes, technique and intelligence. Particularly noteworthy are his powerful take-off, excellent bascule and strong hind leg action. The sire Candy de Nantuel has convincingly proven his own performance at advanced international show jumping level. Ridden by Pénélope Leprévost, he was successful up to 1.55 m. The combination of athletic toughness and the highly valued Selle Français blood clearly qualifies him as a top sire. The dam line strongly underlines the high breeding Quality. The first dam Isolde ES is, among others, the dam of the licensed and internationally successful La Costa ES v. Mosito van het Hellehof, who has competed successfully up to 1.45 m under Frank Schuttert in the Netherlands. Candy Cumano's half sister One and Only ES v. Kashmir van Schuttershof, the dam of the 2025 OS Champion Stallion Cashmere Blue, who completed his 50-day performance test as the top stallion with a weighted jumping score of 8.85. The damsire Cumano ranks among the absolute icons of show jumping. Under Jos Lansink, he won the World Championship title at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen and competed at the Olympic Games in Athens and Hong Kong. He also boasts an outstanding record as a sire, with over 20 licensed sons and more than 50 internationally successful offspring up to 1.60 m, confirming his lasting influence in breeding. The second dam Centerfold Z also produced several successful sport horses, including Air Nike Z van de Helle v. Air Jordan Z (1.45 m), Gracia ES v. Last Man Standing (1.40 m) and James Bond ES v. Air Jordan Z (1.40 m). With Chellano Z appearing as the third sire in the pedigree, another legend of international show jumping is added. Also highly successful under Jos Lansink at the top level, Chellano Z quickly established himself as an outstanding sire. With 35 licensed sons and nearly 100 internationally successful offspring up to 1.60 m, he leaves an unmistakable performance stamp in this pedigree. In the third generation of the dam line stands Nulora S, who produced further internationally successful sport horses, including Dutch Blue v. Chacco-Blue (1.50 m) and Kyara Rock v. F-One USA (1.45 m). The performance density of the direct dam line is further confirmed by additional top-level sport horses up to 1.60 m, such as Cupcake Z v. Chacco-Blue (ridden by Sanne Thijssen) and USA Today v. Heartbreaker (ridden by Robert Whitaker). This exceptional depth of performance across multiple generations provides a solid foundation for the transmission of rideability, technique and scope for international show jumping sport.
