Biography

Chin Grey proved to be one of the most remarkable athletes of the Holstein licensing 2023. The sire of the expressive grey is Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann's up-and-coming star Chinchero, clearly marked by his striking conformation, the maternal line is no less interesting. He comes from the mare Greya, who has already achieved several top placings in 1.60 m show jumping at the age of 9 under Kent Farrington. Dam's sire Colestus was also able to prove himself at 5* level under Christian Kukuk. The grandmother also turns out to be self-employed. She was herself successful at 1.45 m level, and after a successful sports career she brought not only Greya but also Louis, who was successful in international sport. The great-grandmother also produced two sport horses, Cortina Grande and Calida, at 1.60 m level. The breeder of the high-legged grey is Christoph Zimmermann : "Greya has always been an outstanding sport horse. I bought her as a young horse and she was trained in our stable. I thought Chincero's really exceptional rideability and interior values could be a very good fit for the mare and I think the plan worked out perfectly." Equipped with expansive movements, a lot of carrying capacity and elasticity, the stallion, who is very agile, cautious and wealthy at the jump, convinced on the occasion of his licensing in Elmshorn.
