Conthalou established himself as a leading sire from the outset, achieving outstanding results with his first crop of foals. His debut generation immediately generated top prices at auction, including Connery, the top-priced foal at the Oldenburg auction in Vechta, sold for €33,000. Due to the exceptional quality of his offspring, he was honored as Main Premium Winner at the Oldenburg Stallion Days. Following his successful licensing performance at the Oldenburg Show Jumping Breeding Association (OS), Conthalou completed his 50-day stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf with impressive scores. Highlights included 9.0 for jumping ability and scope, 9.5 for willingness to perform, 9.0 for rideability, 9.25 for temperament, and 9.0 for overall impression. With a total score of 8.86, he finished as second reserve champion among 35 competitors, underscoring his strong performance credentials. His pedigree is reinforced by proven performance bloodlines. His sire line includes Balou du Rouet, a successful advanced-level show jumper and one of the most influential sires globally. Balou du Rouet has produced international medalists and top performers across Olympic Games, European Championships, and World Cup competitions. He consistently ranks among the leading show jumping and eventing sires worldwide according to the WBFSH rankings. The dam line traces to Chacco-Blue, one of the most dominant show jumping sires of recent decades and a long-standing leader in the WBFSH rankings. Chacco-Blue has produced numerous international champions, Olympic medalists, and licensed stallions, significantly strengthening Conthalou’s genetic profile for sport and breeding excellence.
