Desperados

Biography

Desperados’ career started high – he was a main premium stallion at the 2001 Hanoverian licensing, having already completed his 30-day test with the highest scroes (a 9.5 for his canter, 9.0 from both guest riders). He won the 3yr old ridden championships in Verden, and was bronze medallist at the Bundeschampionat both 2004 and 2005. In 2010 he won the German Dressage Derby in Hamburg, and was placed in the final of the Median Cup. This year he won the Grand Prix, and GP Special, at the Oldenburg CDI4*. He has been selected into the last 7 for the German 2012 Dressage Team with his rider Kristina Sprehe. Desperados’ daughter Doris Day was Hanoverian champion, and then Bundeschampion. His sons regularly license, such as Destano, Double Dancer, Descurio (premium stallion) and in 2011 Destano won the Main Premium at the Oldenburg licensing. Destano is also available in 2012, via chilled semen. The De Niro x Weltmeyer (or his sons) cross works very well – see Danone I and II, Der Designer (most expensive lot at the 2011 December AOS sale, at 1.1million euros). Wie Muzik’s sister Wie Platine was bronze medallist at the 2001 Bundeschampionat.
