Biography
Diamant de Plaisir II represents the pinnacle of modern show jumping breeding, combining two of the most influential bloodlines in the sport through his sire Diamant de Semilly (WBFSH #1 ranked sire in 2016) and dam sire For Pleasure (Olympic gold medalist and WBFSH #3 ranked). As a young stallion, he has already demonstrated exceptional talent, winning his qualification for the Bundeschampionat with a score of 8.8 and capturing victory in his first test at the World Championships for Young Show Jumpers in Lanaken. Standing at Hof Sosath, this tall, athletic stallion is described by Hendrik Sosath as "bloody, uncomplicated and very good to ride" with "an incredible amount of ability" that allows him to "just play with the dimensions." His full brother Diamant de Plaisir I has proven the family's quality at the highest level with international Grand Prix success.
Notable Progeny
The first foals by Diamant de Plaisir II were typey with a lot of scope and good movements. Many of his offspring have already been awarded prizes and honoured as elite foals.
