Biography
Dutch Dream is a striking young dressage stallion who combines exceptional talent, modern type and a highly accomplished pedigree. Born in 2018, the dark chestnut stallion is by the internationally successful GLOCK's Dream Boy N.O.P., a son of Vivaldi who has ranked among the world’s leading dressage horses for several years under Hans Peter Minderhoud. Dream Boy has also proven himself as an influential sire, producing numerous offspring with outstanding movement and rideability. Dutch Dream clearly inherited both his athletic ability and elegant appearance from this exceptional paternal line, combining expressive gaits with strong hind-leg engagement and natural balance. His dam, the elite mare Hollywood Tarpania, is one of the most renowned mares in Dutch dressage breeding. Ridden by Marije van Kersbergen, she competed at the FEI World Championships for Young Dressage Horses and qualified for Small Tour level competition. Hollywood Tarpania has also proven highly influential in breeding. Her eldest son Kingsley Tarpania (by Lord Leatherdale) is approved by the Anglo European Studbook and stands at stud in Australia, while her daughter Lakewood Tarpania (by Charmeur) demonstrated outstanding ability in her mare performance test, scoring 85 points with a 9 for trot and posture. Several daughters of Hollywood Tarpania have also been sold through elite foal auctions, further confirming the strength of this damline. The pedigree continues with the German sire Fürst Romancier, known for producing elegant, expressive dressage horses. Dutch Dream’s granddam Discovery (by Johnson) achieved an impressive 84.5 points in her mare test, including a 9.5 for trot, and is also the dam of the Danish approved stallion It’s Me, a full sibling to Hollywood Tarpania. Further back, the mare Whinny produced several successful sport horses including the Grand Prix dressage horse Vorst (by Negro) ridden by Anne van Olst, as well as Fedor (by Johnson), competing at Small Tour level in Canada, and the approved stallion El Perdon (by El Capone). Dutch Dream has also impressed in sport and performance testing. After completing a strong second sport test in Verden with an average score of 8.21, he met the German performance requirements and was officially approved by the Hanoverian Verband. At the Münster-Handorf two-day sport test he achieved an excellent top score of 8.64, securing final approval with both the Oldenburg Verband and the Hanoverian studbook. His talent in competition became clear early on. In the 2022 Pavo Cup Final, judged by Eva Möller, Dutch Dream finished third among the four-year-olds, earning 90 points including a 9 for trot. That same year he also won the VSN Trophy Final for three-year-olds after test rider Vai Bruntink awarded him the maximum score of 10 for rideability, praising him as “a super nice horse.” In the final he received 7 for walk, 9.5 for trot, 8.5 for canter, 9 for rideability and 9 for overall impression, giving him a total of 53 points and securing the championship title. With his expressive movement, strong rideability and exceptional damline, Dutch Dream represents a modern dressage stallion with the pedigree, talent
