Biography

Erste Sahne (born 21 May 2019) is a handsome bay Rheinländer dressage stallion by Escamillo out of Si Jolie (by Sir Donnerhall I), bred by Hanne Schleupen. Standing approximately 1.74 m (17.1 hh), he is approved for breeding with multiple major studbooks including Westfalen, Oldenburg, Hannover, Mecklenburg and DSP, and is confirmed WFFS-negative (clear) — making him a strong genetic choice for dressage breeders. He now stands at Zuchthof Wadenspanner / Gut Wettlkam in Bavaria under co-ownership with Thomas Müller. Erste Sahne first made headlines as the record-setting winner of the 2023 German sport test for four-year-old stallions in Münster-Handorf, where he scored an exceptional 9.20 overall, including a 10 for canter and 9.5 for rideability and general impression. His elegant build, uphill movement and rideability have earned him early success in dressage competitions at A and L-levels, plus his first foals have attracted breeder attention for their type and basic gaits, dominating foal shows and auctions.

Notable Progeny

Erste Sahne has only recently begun sire duty and his first foal crop is arriving, but several offspring are already listed and attracting attention: Eclair – foal sold for €11,000 at Westfälische auction (2024).

Approved stallion for Westfalen, Oldenburg, Hannover, Mecklenburg, DSP studbooks. Placed in Dressage tests up to Class L competition. Qualified for Bundeschampionate 5-yr Dressage events in 2025. Limited but promising show results in local A & L dressage with top placings. Moved to stallion station Zuchthof Wadenspanner / Gut Wettlkam (Bavaria).
