Excelsior Optimus Z is a modern Zangersheide stallion born in 2020, combining elite sport genetics through his sire Ermitage Kalone with an exceptional Belgian performance damline. Standing 1.68 m and bred by Optimus Agro, he represents one of the earliest sons of the Olympic-level stallion Ermitage Kalone to enter breeding. His dam Cacacha van het Schaeck competed successfully up to 3★ Grand Prix level, while his half-sister Like a Diamond van het Schaeck became a world-class 5★ Grand Prix winner with over €600,000 in earnings under Marlon Zanotelli. With a second dam that also competed at 1.60 m level, Excelsior Optimus Z represents a rare concentration of top-level sport mares and is considered a promising young sire for modern showjumping breeding.
