Biography

Federer impressed both the licensing committee and the expert audience at the 2020 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing with his three equally outstanding basic gaits, exceptional elasticity, fine movements, and exemplary mechanics. This noble and highly modern young stallion consistently presents himself with expression and grace, meeting the highest demands with his exceptional basic quality paired with valuable genetics. In 2022, Federer completed his 50-day test with a final dressage-oriented score of 8.12. As a young horse, he placed highly in elementary (L) level dressage tests and placed directly in his first medium dressage test. As a six-year-old, Federer won tests for young dressage horses at medium level and placed several times in medium level dressage competitions. In 2025, he achieved reserve winner status at his first start in an advanced (S) level dressage test for young horses, and just weeks later, won several tests at "S level." His rider, Madita Rentz, describes him as "incredibly charming and friendly, elastic, with great mechanics, brave, lots of go, very rideable, head clear, athlete through and through. He puts a smile on your face every day with his cheerful nature, coupled with incredible quality and his riding comfort."
