Biography

For the Future – A Modern Powerhouse of Performance and Pedigree With outstanding talent, proven performance, and a pedigree that reads like a who’s who of international show jumping, For the Future represents the next generation of elite sport horse sires. Crowned Champion Stallion at the 2018 Westphalian licensing in Münster-Handorf, he immediately set himself apart with his harmonious conformation, natural elasticity, and exceptional jumping technique. His athleticism is defined by explosive power off the ground, a consistent and correct bascule, sharp reflexes, and exemplary front-end technique—qualities that mark him as a true modern jumper. His natural ability has been confirmed through testing and sport. He passed his sport test in Münster-Handorf with a perfect 10.0 for ability and an outstanding 9.2 for rideability and manners. At his 14-day test in Adelheidsdorf, he achieved an excellent jumping-focused final score of 9.23, including 9.5 for character, willingness to perform, and free jumping, alongside a 9.0 for rideability. In competition, For the Future has demonstrated consistency and scope, achieving placings up to 1.30m level in international young horse classes. Notably, he delivered 14 clear rounds out of 17 starts in CSIYH1* competitions between 1.20m and 1.30m, underlining both his reliability and carefulness. Highlights include placings in Opglabbeek and Oliva, as well as a strong performance in Riesenbeck. As a sire, he is already making a significant impression. His offspring are modern, athletic, and elegant, frequently awarded premiums and distinctions. They are in high demand at leading German breeding auctions, where they consistently achieve top prices—clear evidence of his growing reputation among breeders and riders alike. For the Future is bred for greatness. He is a direct son of the legendary For Pleasure, Olympic team gold medalist, European champion, and one of the most influential sires in modern show jumping. The dam line is equally distinguished, featuring Nabab de Rêve, a cornerstone of international breeding and a proven producer of championship horses, alongside Cassini II and the influential Dutch stallion Jasper (Little One). This powerful genetic foundation combines performance, rideability, and durability at the highest level. With his exceptional talent, proven performance, and strong hereditary power, For the Future truly lives up to his name—offering breeders a stallion capable of shaping the next generation of top-level show jumpers.

Notable Progeny

Despite his relatively young age, For the Future is already proving himself as a highly promising sire, with offspring attracting attention both in the show ring and at auction. His progeny are consistently recognised for their modern type, athleticism, and excellent jumping technique. They are well-balanced, rideable horses with scope and carefulness—traits clearly inherited from their sire. Foals and young horses have been awarded premiums and distinctions at major German breeding inspections, underlining their quality and consistency. At auction, his offspring are in strong demand, regularly achieving top prices across leading German sales platforms. Their popularity reflects both their striking presence and the confidence breeders and riders place in his bloodline. On the sport side, his first crops are beginning to emerge successfully in young horse classes, showing great promise for future top-level careers. A standout example is Justine Tebbel, who achieved international success and highlights the stallion’s ability to produce horses capable of performing on the bigger stage. With his first generations already making their mark, For the Future is firmly establishing himself as a sire of modern, competitive show jumpers for the highest levels of the sport.
