Biography
Fürst Samarant was one of the most sought-after premium stallions at the NRW main licensing. He completed his sport test for four-year-old stallions in Münster-Handorf with a record result, ranking as the best four-year-old dressage stallion in Germany. One year later, he was again awarded premium stallion status by the Hanoverian Verband. Under saddle with Friederike Kampmeyer, Fürst Samarant achieved outstanding scores of 9.0 for canter, walk and rideability, finishing with an excellent dressage final score of 8.86. He had already demonstrated his exceptional rideability and trainability as a three-year-old, completing the 14-day performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 2018 with top scores and an overall result of 8.58, where he was also awarded premium stallion status. Today, Fürst Samarant is successfully competing up to Inter I dressage level. As a breeding stallion, Fürst Samarant is already producing high-quality dressage offspring. His daughter Felice became the 2024 German National Champion of five-year-old dressage horses with a score of 9.0. Across Europe, Fürst Samarant offspring are successful at stallion licensings, elite mare shows and national and international championships, confirming his value as a modern dressage sire. Fürst Samarant is by the proven dressage sire For Romance OLD, who made an outstanding breeding debut with his first licensed offspring crop in 2015 across all German licensing venues. At just seven years old, For Romance OLD won his first St. Georg class and qualified for the final of the Nürnberger Burgpokal. He is now successfully placed at Grand Prix level. Fürst Samarant carries the influential Westphalian foundation stallion Florestan I twice in his pedigree, reinforcing rideability, temperament and dressage talent. His damsire Fürst Nymphenburg is a son of double World Champion Florencio and therefore a grandson of Florestan I. Through Sandro Hit as an additional key sire line, Fürst Samarant combines proven dressage genetics with modern type and athleticism. His dam line is equally performance-focused. Granddam Sinfonie is a full sister to Amarena B, a successful international Young Rider dressage horse. The third dam Las Vegas B is a full sister to Gambler’s Lady, who produced the Hanover-licensed stallion Westfriese. Westfriese was successful in sport for more than eleven consecutive years, demonstrating the durability, soundness and performance strength of this mare family, which has produced numerous auction horses and premium foals. Successful sport horses from this dam line include S-level dressage horses such as Fontainebleau and Donovan, as well as international show jumpers competing up to 1.45m level, highlighting the versatility, performance ability and strong genetics of this proven sport horse family.
