Biography

GLOCK’s Toto Jr. is the first licensed son of the legendary Totilas and one of the most influential modern dressage stallions. Born in 2011, the striking black Hanoverian combines the extraordinary movement and charisma of his famous sire with the proven Grand Prix genetics of the Donnerhall line through his dam, Desperada, by Desperados. Both his dam and granddam completed their mare performance tests in Germany with excellent scores, with test riders awarding them the maximum 10.0 for rideability. At the age of three, GLOCK’s Toto Jr. won his stallion performance test in Ermelo with an impressive total of 86 points, confirming his exceptional potential both as a sport horse and breeding stallion. GLOCK’s Toto Jr. competes at international Grand Prix level under his rider, Edward Gal. He was the big winner of the Dutch Dressage Championships in 2020, where he scored an exceptional 86.15% in the freestyle. Since their debut at Grand Prix level, GLOCK’s Toto Jr. and Edward Gal have consistently achieved scores around 80% and above, which led to him being named FEI Horse of the Month in December 2020. He shows excellent ground cover in the walk, while his trot and canter impress with power, lightness, elasticity, balance and an uphill tendency. This magnificent black stallion also exhibits outstanding qualities of conformation and temperament, traits he passes strongly to his offspring. His foals are extremely popular and have achieved high prices at auctions in recent years. A total of 24 sons of GLOCK’s Toto Jr. were entered for the first round viewing at the KWPN Stallion Show in 2021, with eight selected for the second round. In addition to GLOCK’s Taminiau, GLOCK’s King Karim, Blue Hors Kingston and Mister Maserati, the number of approved sons rose to no fewer than 34 in 2021. His daughters are also excelling, with three finishing in the top six at the NMK 2021 in Ermelo.
