Biography
Havertz made an immediate impression at the 62nd Trakehner Stallion Market in Neumünster in 2024, where he dominated from his first presentation and was crowned both premium and champion stallion. A large-framed stallion with a strong type and striking presence, he represents the noble qualities of traditional East Prussian breeding and impresses with outstanding basic gaits and powerful hindquarter activity. His sire Blanc Pain successfully completed his stallion performance test near the top of his year, qualified for the Bundeschampionat for German Dressage Horses and later achieved success up to Prix St. Georges level. Initially used mainly as a riding stallion, he began his breeding career in 2017 at the age of twelve and has already produced licensed sons including Havertz and Graf von Falkenhöh. The dam’s sire Millennium, reserve champion of the 2010 Trakehner main licensing, has since developed into one of the world’s leading dressage sires. Havertz also carries an exceptional dam line. His granddam Hakuna von der Heide produced the licensed stallions Shiraz (by Sir Donnerhall I) and Sir Skyfall OLD (by Sandro Hit), the latter a World Championship finalist as a five- and six-year-old and successful in international small tour competition. She also produced the outstanding mare Herzdame von der Heide (by San Amour I) and is the granddam of Incredible (by Indian Rock–For Romance I), winner of the 2021 Oldenburg stallion licensing and a Bundeschampionat finalist in 2023. Further back in the pedigree, Hakuna von der Heide is a daughter of the Trakehner champion stallion K2, who competed successfully at advanced (S) level dressage. The third dam Halbton von der Heide produced the Grand Prix dressage horse Harmonie von der Heide and the advanced level dressage horse Lima’s Sinfonie von der Heide. The pedigree continues with Schwadroneur, an internationally successful dressage horse ridden by Anne Grethe Thörnblad of Denmark. Havertz represents the respected Trakehner family O178A Hasta, a line that has produced successful Grand Prix dressage horses such as Sommerhit S and Saphira Royal, as well as licensed stallions including Hessencharme and Hofherr. With his outstanding pedigree, modern type and exceptional movement, Havertz offers exciting prospects for future dressage breeding.
