Bred by Ewald Grotelueschen (GER) and standing in Rheinberg, Germany, Independent is owned by Tvedgard Holding ApS, Helgstrand Dressage ApS and Paul Schockemöhle Pferdehaltung GmbH. He is WFFS negative and approved for DSP, Denmark, Hannover, Mecklenburg, Oldenburg, Rheinland and Westfalen. The licensing judges praised his strong, harmonious topline and very good conformation, plus his rhythm, uphill tendency and “fantastic power from the hindquarters.” His sire Asgard’s Ibiza was successful at the World Championships for five-year-old dressage horses (2018) and in international small tour sport, while his dam Elfenperle OLD earned bronze at the Oldenburg Riding Horse Championships (2017) and placed 6th in the German Championships final for three-year-old mares and geldings.
