Biography
Jewel ASK Z is a highly promising young jumping stallion combining exceptional scope, athleticism and an outstanding international pedigree. Bred by Kelly Pieck and Dirk Demeersman, the striking grey stallion was purchased in 2018 and quickly distinguished himself as a horse with enormous potential for top sport and breeding. He earned the title of Premium Stallion in 2019 and went on to become Champion Stallion in 2020, impressing judges with his powerful canter, careful jumping technique and natural balance. Approved for breeding with both the Danish Warmblood and Oldenburg International, he also successfully completed his 14-day performance test, receiving particular praise for his rideability and exceptional jumping ability. Jewel ASK Z began his sport career impressively, qualifying directly for the Danish Young Horse Championship finals as a four-year-old with a score of 8.4. Shortly afterwards he unfortunately suffered a severe case of colic that required surgery and a long recovery period. After returning to competition in 2022, he quickly proved his quality again by winning the Danish Young Horse Championship qualification for six-year-old showjumpers with a score of 8.6. Judges described him as a large-framed, elegant stallion with excellent type, a well-balanced and adjustable canter, and a powerful jump with a strong bascule and excellent hind-leg technique. His carefulness, scope and natural overview at the fence mark him as a stallion with unlimited potential for international showjumping sport. Jewel ASK Z’s pedigree is packed with proven international performance horses. He is by Jaguar van Paemel, an internationally successful stallion competing up to 1.60 m level and a son of the influential sire Cicero Z van Paemel. His dam, Diamonds Billy, competed internationally up to 1.60 m and achieved placings in CSIO5 competitions over 1.50 m fences*, as well as competing in the final of the FEI Breeding Jumping Championship as a seven-year-old. She has also produced several successful sport horses including Luigi, an AES-approved stallion competing internationally up to 1.50 m, and the mare Little-Billy competing up to 1.40 m with multiple placings and victories. The deeper damline further confirms the strength of Jewel ASK Z’s genetics. His granddam line traces to the mare Midway de la Bonette, whose offspring include international competitors such as Aston du Haras des Barrag competing up to 1.55 m level. On the sire’s side, the influential mare Sissi produced several international performers and approved stallions including Welshman II, Apache van Paemel, Gigolo van Paemel and Kirr Royal van Paemel. With such a powerful pedigree combined with his own athleticism, carefulness and rideability, Jewel ASK Z represents a modern jumping stallion with both the genetic foundation and the natural talent to influence future generations of showjumping horses.
Notable Progeny
Although still a relatively young sire, Jewel ASK Z is already producing promising sport horses and breeding prospects. One of his most notable offspring is: Jupiter DWB – Danish Warmblood approved stallion who won the 2025 jumping performance test with 890 points and scores up to 9.5 for capacity and technique. His offspring are praised for their powerful canter, scope and willingness to work—qualities strongly inherited from both sides of his elite jumping pedigree.
