Biography

Premium stallion Powerdale is a son of the KWPN-approved Glamoudale, the Lord Leatherdale son who won the world title in Herning with Charlotte Fry. Glamourdale managed to convince both at a young age and in the Grand Prix. Powerdale's mother is the ster prestatie mare Dancing Girl, a daughter of Olympic stallion Johnson preferent. This sire is currently the leader of the WBFSH ranking. Dancing Girl produced the Chippendale offspring Indy, who competed at Small Tour level, and the Governor offspring King, who competed at ZZ-Zwaar level. She also produced several Z horses. Grandmother Rosen-Dame (ster PROK) descends from the Grand Prix stallion Rohdiamant and she serves, among other things, as grandmother of the Big Tour horse Uptown (by Florestan I). This maternal line continues with the stallions Weltmeyer and Wendenburg. The KWPN judges commented at his 2023 Performance Test – “Powerdale is a very-well developed, long-lined, long-legged stallion. The head is expressive. The neck has good length with a light head-neck connection. The neck has good length, more than sufficient shape and muscling. The shoulder has good length and position. The withers are more than sufficiently developed and have good length. The back has good length and is well muscled. The loin is slightly muscled and well connected. The croup has good position, more than sufficient length and muscling.” Research report: Powerdale is an honest and elegant stallion with a good to very good attitude. The stallion is very willing to work and is very easy to train. The walk is clear, with more than sufficient scope. In the trot the stallion has more than sufficient impulsion, much to very much light-footedness, good scope, a lot of shoulder freedom and an active hind leg that carries well. The canter is very good uphill, with very good leg technique and has good to very good scope. Powerdale moves with a lot of flexibility, a lot of self-carriage and good balance. Powerdale has a lot of talent as a dressage horse and gives his rider a good to very good feeling.
