Biography

Under the saddle of Bart Veeze, Pride proves to be one of the great talents of his year. The breeders are therefore charmed by this beautiful chestnut, who was declared a premium stallion at the KWPN Stallion Inspection in 2023. In the subsequent KWPN Select Sale, Pride was the auction top seller with an amount of 200,000 euros. In July 2023, Pride achieved an average of 8.53 in the mini-test in Münster-Handorf. The jury was very pleased with Pride, especially in the trot (9.5) and canter (9.2). Rideability and work ethic were also rewarded with high marks (8.5 and 8.8 respectively). Pride is a son of Secret. This son of Sezuan is already a legend in breeding with many approved sons and he was a top supplier at the World Championships for Young Dressage Horses in 2023. Secret continues the line of top sire Ferro. His father Sezuan is a son of Zack, who in turn is a grandson of Ferro via Rousseau. Pride’s mother Idol is the full sister of the well-known Grand Prix stallion Jovian, with whom Andreas Helgstrand took part in the European Dressage Championship in Riesenbeck in 2023. Idol also did a very good test at the KWPN, is elite and preferent on her first offspring. Her eldest daughter Missy did a very good test and is already mother of the designated stallion Red Spirit (by Blue Hors Monte Carlo). Second offspring Toto Gold (by Toto jr) has been approved by various German Studbooks. Grandmother Zinith also produced the Grand Prix dressage horse Friend and very well-moving and well-tested daughters. This branch of the Tesdoorn lineage of the Ten Bosch family also produces world champion Astrix and NMK champion Sunny Girl.
