Biography

Red Viper is an exceptional KWPN chestnut stallion competing at the very pinnacle of international young horse dressage. Crowned World Champion at the FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses as both a five-year-old (2024) and six-year-old (2025), he has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting dressage stallions of his generation. Bred by Coen Kerbert, Red Viper combines elite European dressage bloodlines with proven championship performance. He is sired by the Grand Prix stallion Blue Hors Romanov, renowned for producing international dressage horses of power, elasticity, and rideability. His dam, Zolena (by Sir Sinclair x Cabochon), was herself a World Championship finalist, reinforcing a pedigree defined by performance, trainability, and genetic quality on both sides. Under Dutch Olympic rider Dinja van Liere, Red Viper has captivated judges and audiences alike with his expressive, elastic trot, pure and regular walk, naturally uphill canter, and outstanding rideability. At the 2025 World Championships, he achieved exceptional marks: 9.5 for trot, 8.5 for walk, 9.0 for canter, 8.4 for submission, and 9.5 for perspective — an outstanding total of 90.40%. Red Viper’s combination of modern type, correct conformation, powerful hindleg mechanics, and exemplary temperament positions him as a future Grand Prix dressage stallion and a world-class sire prospect. His chilled semen will be available to UK breeders for the first time in 2026, exclusively through Stallion AI Services. For breeders seeking championship genetics, rideability, and proven international success, Red Viper represents the next generation of elite dressage performance.

Notable Progeny

His offspring are long-lined, show plenty of presence, have correct leg conformation, and a modern appearance with fantastic movement. KWPN says: Red Viper can improve length of frame and leg length; he can add self-carriage, rideability and willingness to the dressage horse breeding. 1 licensed son - Red Label
