Biography

Secret’s Next Star is a striking, elegant black stallion whose quality and type clearly reflect his celebrated lineage. A premium Oldenburg, he is powerfully made with excellent proportions and a beautifully harmonious frame. He shows exceptional promise in the basic gaits, highlighted by an expressive, eye-catching foreleg. He is by the outstanding Sezuan—three-time World Champion of Young Dressage Horses and internationally successful through Inter I—who is also one of the youngest stallions to feature among the WBFSH’s leading dressage sires. Sezuan’s son Secret has built an exceptional sport and breeding record: performance test winner, multiple medalist at the German Young Horse Championships and World Championships, and crowned German Young Horse Champion as a six-year-old under Jessica Lynn Thomas. As a sire, Secret has produced a remarkable number of licensed sons and championship performers, including Segantini FRH, as well as World Championship medallists Alkaline and Severucci HT, and the 2025 champion Soxx. On the dam line, the maternal grandsire Grey Flanell—by Gribaldi—made an immediate impact, earning top honours in Oldenburg and going on to excel in young horse classes through to Grand Prix, including World Cup appearances. The granddam, D’Esperanza, also produced Mykonos (by Millennium). Further back, the pedigree features Desperados FRH, a long-standing cornerstone of the German championship team and an Olympic gold medallist, alongside the State Premium Mare Wisconsin, a prolific winner in riding horse classes by the Bundeschampion and influential sire Wolkentanz I.
