Biography

Sir Gribaldi is a refined and noble son of Secret, presented at the Hanoverian stallion licensing in Verden. He combines modern dressage type with excellent movement quality and natural impulsion. Influences from the noble blood stallions All Inclusive and Lauries Crusador xx in his dam line contribute strongly to his elegant type and overall presence. From his first appearances under saddle in Vechta, Sir Gribaldi impressed riders and breeders alike, later confirming his quality with a confident performance test in Münster where he achieved a final score of 8.59. His sire Secret carries the influential blood of the triple World Champion Sezuan. Secret himself was the winner of his stallion performance test, Vice Bundeschampion as a three-year-old, Vice World Champion as a five-year-old and Bundeschampion of German Dressage Horses as a six-year-old. From his first two crops alone, he produced 24 licensed sons along with several prize winners and Bundeschampions in Germany. Sir Gribaldi’s dam Ashanti brings valuable Trakehner blood through her sire All Inclusive, who combines the influential stallions Gribaldi and Buddenbrock. All Inclusive was reserve champion at his licensing, later competed successfully at advanced dressage level and was honoured as an elite Trakehner stallion. Despite limited breeding use, he produced five licensed sons and 32 premium mares. The granddam Light My Fire is by the legendary Thoroughbred Lauries Crusador xx, a foundation sire in Hanoverian breeding and the producer of more than 70 licensed sons. The pedigree also includes famous Hanoverian performance sires such as Weltmeyer, Wendekreis and Cardinal xx, all of which contributed significantly to modern sport horse breeding. Sir Gribaldi descends from the Hanoverian mare line of Dodica from Artland, a family known for producing successful dressage horses. This line has produced licensed stallions including Selectric, Windsurfer and Weingold. One of the most notable representatives is the Fidermark son Vom Feinsten, who competed at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and the World Equestrian Games in Tryon in 2018 with Julie Brougham for New Zealand. This proven pedigree underlines Sir Gribaldi’s strong potential for modern dressage breeding and sport.
