Biography
Stakkato Gold - that is modern show jumper breeding in a nutshell: he has already reached international level as a show horse and sire at a young age. Stakkato Gold was the best jumping stallion of his licensing year at the 2003 Hanoverian licensing in Verden. He also proved his outstanding jumping talent in the 30-day test in Prussendorf in 2004, where he received the maximum score of 10.0 several times. In his first show season in 2005, Stakkato Gold immediately won and placed in tests for young show jumpers up to elementary (L) level, was again victorious and highly placed up to medium (M) level in 2006 and qualified for the Bundeschampionat. He was later highly successful in three-star S show jumping competitions. In 2009, he won the final of the Youngster Tour in Neumünster under Jan Sprehe and was placed many times, including in Dortmund, Nörten-Hardenberg and Oldenburg. 40 sons licensed in Germany are currently on Stakkato Gold's breeding record. In the 2021 licensing fall, he produced the second reserve winner of the Westphalian licensing with Salah. His offspring from the first crops entered the upper level and international show jumping sport in extremely high numbers. In the meantime, 63 have been placed at advanced (S) level, some of them internationally. The World Cup winner Solid Gold/Christian Ahlmann, Sansibar 89/Philipp Weishaupt, Stakki's Jumper/Jörne Sprehe, Springfield/Thomas Ryan (IRL) and Stakorado/Michal Kazmierczak (POL) shine at 5* level. Stakkato Gold landed a very special coup in the 2018 season when Stargold first became national champion of seven-year-olds under Tobias Meyer, and a few weeks later another stallion son, Solid Gold, also won the gold medal at the World Championships for seven-year-olds under Christian Ahlmann. No other sire had achieved this before him! Stargold won team silver at the 2021 European Championships in Riesenbeck under Marcus Ehning, took fifth place in the individual classification at the World Championships in Herning in 2022 and triumphed in the 2023 Rolex Grand Prix in Aachen. The Stakkato Gold son, Starissa, carried Mario Stevens to German Championship gold in the show jumping course in Balve in 2022. In 2022, his son BP Goodfellas became World Champion of five-year-old show jumpers under Gerard O'Neil, and the following year his daughter Laurina won silver in the field of six-year-olds under Leah Stack. Stakkato Gold's dam Wertherroeschen was also internationally successful. She comes from the famous Alsterroeschen line (Lüth/Brandleben).
