Biography

Starline impressed as a premium stallion at the 2024 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing in Verden. With his large frame, modern performance type and striking presence, he stood out for his energetic trot, powerful movement and excellent jumping ability. He shows outstanding scope over fences combined with carefulness and a first-class technique. The combination with the internationally successful mare For Farina gives Starline an excellent genetic foundation and promising future in show jumping breeding. He is expected to follow in the successful footsteps of his sire Stakkato Gold. His sire Stakkato Gold was internationally successful in sport and has become one of the most influential show jumping sires. His offspring include top international horses such as Aachen Grand Prix winner Stargold with Marcus Ehning, Nations Cup winner Sansibar with Philipp Weishaupt, as well as Solero with Jörne Sprehe, Starissa FRH with Mario Stevens, Scoletta with Tobias Meyer and Stadessa with Bianca Babanitz. Stakkato Gold dominated the German FN jumping breeding value rankings for several years and was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2015. Starline’s dam line also carries strong performance blood. His damsire Julio competed successfully at advanced (S) level show jumping. His granddam Farina achieved international success in Nations Cup and World Cup competitions with René Tebbel and produced the international show jumper Well Fier with Jorge Sanchez of Spain. The third generation features the legendary stallion For Pleasure, one of the most successful show jumping horses and sires in modern breeding. He was German Champion in 1995 and 2002, Olympic Team Champion in 1996 and 2000, and European Team Champion in 1997, 1999 and 2003. As a sire he has ranked among the leading stallions in the WBFSH world rankings for many years and has produced over 200 advanced-level show jumping horses in Germany alone. He was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2000. Additional valuable bloodlines come from the Thoroughbred Jet Stream xx and the influential Hanoverian stallions Seefischer and Aumund. Starline descends from the Hanoverian mare line 193 Nadelspitze, which has also produced the licensed stallions Domsänger and Steglitz. This proven pedigree supports Starline’s potential as a promising young stallion for modern show jumping breeding and sport.
