Biography
Tocato is an exceptionally elegant young stallion with a striking silhouette, refined type and athletic presence. He combines elasticity in his movement with outstanding potential over fences. His scope, technique and exemplary bascule meet the highest standards, which he clearly demonstrated during the 2025 Hanoverian stallion licensing. His pedigree features three leading sires from the Sprehe station. His sire Toys made his breeding debut between 2017 and 2019 as a guest stallion at the Brandenburg State Stud Neustadt (Dosse). Today he is successfully competing at international advanced (S) level with Jörne Sprehe, achieving multiple top placings in 2025 at major events including the CHIO Aachen, the Global Champions Tour and a second place finish at Spruce Meadows in Calgary. The damsire Cashmoaker was German Champion in 2015 with Denis Nielsen in Balve and also placed second in the Grand Prix of Linz the same year. He earned numerous international results, including placings in Nations Cups and Grand Prix competitions across Europe in venues such as Lanaken, Ommen, Sopot, Vienna Neustadt, Salzburg, Rome, Barcelona, Samorin, Hamburg, Munich and Stuttgart. In recognition of his outstanding achievements in sport and breeding, DSP Cashmoaker was awarded the title “DSP Masters Stallion” in Stuttgart in 2023. Tocato’s granddam Roseanne was successful up to M** level show jumping. Her sire Stakkato Gold is one of the most influential sires in modern show jumping breeding. In addition to his own international sport success, he led the German FN breeding value rankings for years and was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2015. Further generations feature proven performance sires such as Landjonker and the legendary Argentinus, who was named Hanoverian Stallion of the Year in 2005. Tocato descends from the Westphalian mare family 536 Almfee, a proven performance line that produced the Hanoverian premium stallion D’Antonius. This family has also become highly influential in Belgian Warmblood breeding and produced international show jumping horses such as Espoir with Pieter Devos and Vanity van de Grundeval with Cesar Almeida and Mikael Forsten. With his modern type, exceptional jumping ability and strong pedigree, Tocato represents a promising stallion for future sport horse breeding.
