Biography

Vancouver de Lanlore is an elite Selle Français stallion born in 2009, sired by the legendary producer Toulon and bred by Anne Dafflon. Standing 1.69 m and dark bay in colour, he combines powerful Belgian jumping blood with a highly versatile Anglo-Arab maternal line that has produced performers across showjumping, eventing and dressage. Vancouver developed into a world-class showjumper, first competing with Romain Duguet before reaching the highest level with Pénélope Leprévost and later Pius Schwizer. The stallion competed at the very top of the sport including two Olympic Games, the World Championships and numerous CSI Grand Prix events, earning nearly €1 million in prize money and establishing himself as one of the best sport stallions of his generation.

Notable Progeny

Vancouver de Lanlore began breeding later in his career while still competing at the highest level, so his oldest offspring are relatively young and mostly born after 2020. Promising Young Sport Horses Unnamed Vancouver progeny (2020–2021 crop) – first generation currently entering young horse competition circuits. Vancouver × Quio des Chaines offspring – promising young jumpers emerging in French breeding programmes. Vancouver × Cento offspring – young sport horses showing scope and blood typical of the sire line. Vancouver × Heartbreaker line mares – early offspring displaying carefulness and modern jumping technique.
