Biography

Velvet Black presents itself with outstanding movement dynamics that always swing through the whole body and gives hope for great things for the future. Already at his licensing in Redefin he attracted everyone's attention and inspired at each of his performances. The sire Vitalis was Reserve Champion of the NRW licensing, stallion performance test dressage index winner, placed at the World Championships for young dressage horses and in the Pavo Cup final and immediately won the Nuremberg Burg Cup Final in Frankfurt and the Stallion of the Year competition at Inter I level at the World Championships in Ermelo. About 70 of his sons were licensed. Thanks to his Grand Prix-successful offspring, including the Team World Champion, two-time individual Vice World Champion and World Cup runner-up Vamos Amigos with Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour, World Championship participant First-Step Valentin, Louisdor Prize final runner-up Valencia AS and Aachen winner and Otto Lörke award winner Valesco, Vitalis is already at the top of the WBFSH ranking of the world's best dressage sires. The dam is the Westphalian state premium and final ring mare Fia Lou, who has already proven everything in terms of breeding. Her daughter Salina Lou by Sir Donnerhall I was Champion Foal of the German Foal Championships in Lienen, also a final ring mare in Westphalia, third in the Elite Mare Championships Lienen and already produced the licensed Velvedere in mating to Valverde. Two other full sisters of Sir Donnerhall I have been successful at the elite mare show in Münster and are already proving themselves in the arena. Two daughters of Vitalis from Fia Lou also paraded at the Westphalian elite show on the occasion of the Westphalian Week. All mares were decorated with the title of state premium mare and completed above-average mare tests. The dam's sire Fürst Heinrich was himself a Champion Stallion, Oldenburg Main Premium Winner and Dressage Horse World Champion at the age of five, he produced almost 100 licensed stallions, including such important main sires as Fürstenball or Fürst Romancier. With Lutz, Gold Dollar and Pontius, the maternal line carries the often so sought-after little bit of jumping blood in the backsoil of the pedigree built on the Hanoverian mare line of the Königsaue, with its home in the area of the Celle traditional stud Stedebergen. The line produced, among others, the main sires Frustra I and Frustra II, the stallion performance test winner Sir Holtrup and Warkando K.
