How EU Bank Holidays Affect Deliveries

If you require semen delivery the day after a bank holiday in the EU, please be aware that delivery will not be possible.

This is because:

  • Couriers are not operating within that country.
  • Government veterinary offices are closed and cannot complete the required health certification.

Ordering on a UK Bank Holiday (EU Shipments only)

Orders can still be placed on a UK bank holiday, provided there is no bank holiday in the EU on the same day.

  • Delivery will take place the following day.
  • Courier services (UPS) resume operations in the UK just after midnight.
  • Flights typically arrive into East Midlands Airport early morning, allowing normal onward delivery.

UK-Based Stallions & Bank Holidays

If you are ordering semen from a UK-based stallion, please note that overnight courier delivery is not available on UK bank holidays.

In this case, you have two options:

  • Collection in person, or
  • Same-day dedicated door-to-door delivery
